On October’s Meeting at Hoot’s, Ralph Rau and Jennie Fischer came down to give us a heads up on the DRAMVU Supplemental Draft of the Travel plan. We went over parts of the Draft and maps of the area that is being effected.
Some of the key things are the following: Parking with one vehicle length off roads, Dispersed Camping Access, Road and Trail Designations around this area, and the Environmental effects of the travels for elk, deer, and moose habitat. All of this has charts, maps or written documentation to help a person understand it better.
With that Idaho Pathfinders will be pulling a special meeting to go over the Supplemental Draft. To write down what our thoughts and concerns will be. And this will be written up and handed into the Forest Service. We hope all of this will help make it a little easier.
Some of the other things are The Draft will becoming out for the public October 22, 2010. If you did not receive one in the mail, please go to your Local Forest Service Office in Grangeville and ask for one. There will be a 45 day comment period. If you have thoughts on the Draft, You need to get it wrote down and handed in. Please make sure you make all comments about pacific things. Also the Forest Service is holding a meeting October 26 @ Grangeville. If you are interested in this meeting please call the Office to find out about the time.
