ATV & Off Road Motorbike Safety Training Course

We are proud to announce that 6 of our members are instructors for both ATV and Off Road Motorbike safety lessons. Todd, Nate, Brian, Randy, Dean and Brenda have gone through the classes to be able to help out the area family’s.

With legislation putting through “That all unlicensed riders who wish to operate an OHV on National Forest roads are required to take an OHV safety course beginning July1, 2011. ” These 6 members stepped up to the plate and became instructors. They are willing to give up some of their time to help get the kids there OHV cards. With this card (after the class) the kids will be able to ride their own machine on Forest Service ground with supervision.

The class will be given in Grangeville and Cottonwood at this time. The class is Free.  The child will have to have the following: Helmet, Glass or Goggles, gloves, long sleeve shirt, long pants, and BOOTS.  They need to bring a machine that fits them. One that they can ride touching the floor boards or pegs with bent knees while sitting on the seat, hands on both sides of the handle bars with bent elbows.

If you are needing the training course in either Off Road Motorbike or ATV please give a call 839-2303. We can only have 10 kids in each class. ATV and Motorbikes will be each a separate class. We will hold a class when we have at least 4 kids signed up. The class can take up to 4 hours depending on the child.

Idaho Pathfinders are here to help out any way they can. We are trying to keep up with Legislation and Forest Service Rules and regulations. We are here to help keep the trails open for the public.
