Update on The Snake River User Group

Steve D. brought in the newest information on the Snake River Group that is fight against all the things the Wallowa Whitman/Fish and Game is trying to put into effect. And the Nation Trail Sturdiest Act.

  1. The fees floating or using the river $10 per person to us the river and surroundings. So if a boat went and had 6 people on it, that would be $60 for the day. This is NOT in affect yet but they are proposing it.
  2. The Nation Trail Sturdiest act. This would affect the Volunteering in areas on trails. A group would put in for an area (year in advance). If they  got it. They wouldn’t get paid to do it. They would just get put under the Forest Service’s insurance for that trail/day. This a different for the trail ranger program.
  3. The next meeting will be in Boise this coming weekend. Steve is asking if there is anyone that would like to be on the committee with him. They could travel with Steve. Call 839-9991 if you would like to help out there. Steve could explain what it will all entail.
  4. The club will be donating $100 to Kellie Rosselini for her travels and effort for working with this group. Also we will be paying for Steve’s fuel for going to all these meetings.
  5. Idaho Power Company is getting involved as well. They are looking into taking over the Pittsburg Landing boating ramp and Camping. This isn’t done yet. They are just now looking into it.

March 12th is the Hamburger BBQ @ Pittsburg

That morning for those that want. White Bird is having their annual Sausage Feed Breakfast. It starts Around 7:30 I believe.
