Idaho Pathfinders Newsletter February 2014

Looks like February is bring in moisture. Yah Snow in the high mountains to help bring up the water table around the area. The area needs it. Ok on to the meeting. Only 6 members braved the roads that Wed. Meeting was short except for the chit chat at the end.

1.Last Collaboration meeting was this month for Del and his crew. So hopefully they brought enough good information to the table to help out the travel plan.

2.50″ or less meeting with Rick Brazil, Dave G., Dean, Rick, and Del should be happening this month. Dave has been in contact several times with Rick on the issue. So far Things are sounding good. But we still need a sit down meeting for this issue. Hopefully get it solved before summer hits.

3.BLM Travel plan is coming on board as well. At the meeting we looked over some of the areas that will effect us. And at this time we see No OHV trails listed. But as we all know there are trails they are just clarified. So Rick will be going to the meeting on Wed in Grangeville with some ideas and concerns we have. Hopefully he will bring back better maps and ideas what we can do change OHV travel on BLM. We know they are looking for Rout inventory, Opion on routs, and designs for better us. (weather it be for pleasure, Commercial, user type, private and how it could help out the land). The areas effected are Clearwater, Craig Mountain, Joseph Plains, and some Slate Creek areas.

7.Kathy and Roger brought some ideas to the table for the club to draw more attention for the club. Window stickers They will be looking into that. They also had a lot of question and how comes that we share the reasoning why’s. We are always open to new ideas and methods of things. Some times old ideas done a new way might get it down. You never know. Thank you Kathy and Roger.
