Welcome all new members. Each new membership matters and adds to the strength of our voice as a whole.  More member numbers look better on the letters we write to protect and keep trails open for the public. Thank you.

Thank you to all those that are taking time to come to meetings, join in the parades, work on trails, participate in our member rides,  take the first aid/CPR class, saw class and work on the Web Page. It’s all this that keeps the Idaho Pathfinders OHV Club pushing forward with momentum and to keep our beloved trails open. Huge Thank you everyone!

Great Job to those that are involved in the County Trail Cat project. They were able to report that they received the Grant for the trailer. This project is moving fast. They were able to get the buy-in cost for the club’s down; this will make it easier for clubs to join. The next meeting for this is July 15. The trail cat will make it easier for trail work.

For trail work, there have been several members out cleaning and repairing trails. As of the time I’m typing this newsletter they have turned in most of the paperwork for all the trails. McComas Meadows still has a little bit left to do. This year has been a rough one for trees down and mud bogs. We will be hauling more rock to more of the trails, just like we did on the Milner trail.

 Nokomis Meadows Trail Cleanup

Thank you to those that spent so many hours hauling rock and placing it on the Milner trail. Great Team work guys. Thank you, Dave Thompson and Bruce Graham for the use of their tractors. Thank you, Turner and Camas Gravel, for helping with the rock.

On another note, Our Facebook page is growing; Ed brought in the breakdown of ages that look, areas that look and that we had 30,246 views last month. We have been posting up and coming rides around the area, pictures/videos of rides and other valuable information that we find out. It is a great place to look for information about our club activities and other club activities.

Just a few of the things that will be coming up soon:

  • Saw class
  • Trail cleaning (some it will be repair on a bridge, and keeping trails clean out)

At this time most of the trails are done for the Trail Ranger Program

  • Hauling rock to some of the trails

In the next meeting (Aug. 5,2026 @ 6:00), we will talk about rides and schedule a Steak Ride. If you have an idea for a ride, let us know about it. We want your thoughts.

Up and coming rides: July 17 Elk City Veteran’s Ride and BBQ Leaving @ 9. (GREAT FOOD)

“Big Foot Ride” 6C Ridge runners ORV club is Aug. 1. Starting at The Market Place in Pierce, ID (this ride is to help the Burn victims in Pierce)

OHV Training classes

There is a class in the Grangeville area:  July 25, 10:00 (Fish Creek)

You will need to go to the Idaho Parks and Recreation web site to Sign up. This class is being put on by the Idaho County Sherrif’s office. They will be teaching OH motorcycles, UTV’s and ATV’s. Riders.  You will need to bring your machine that you will be riding. Once you take the class it will be good for life. Some people take the class because they are going to a state that requires it. While others do it for the kids.
