Great News, moving forward on the trail cat with Central Idaho Trail Maintenance Board:
The Grant was done for the trailer the club bought-in at 20%, making it $248.86 for our share. Now the CITMB has a few little wrinkles to work out. Hopefully by next year, trail work will be a whole lot easier.

For all those that are looking for OHV training classes:
Please contact the Sheriff’s office. They are putting them on around this area. This will be good for Forest Service ground, not BLM. The class is good for life. Some of the states around us recognize it, while other states don’t require it.

As for trail work:
We have been looking into having the Cottonwood Correctional Institute help us. Not sure how that will work, because a lot of the time it’s a spur of the moment when we go. And the CCI needs more than a week or two heads up.

Trail ranger program is done:
We still have more work needed at McComas Meadows on a trail or two. But the forest service is up there making improvements to the road and trails at this time. There will be some bridge work, mud holes, and rocking done this year. Milner, Fish Creek, 9301. Right now it is dry, so everyone is being very careful doing trail work.

Thinking ahead for next year:
IPA will be having the Saw class this fall in September in Grangeville. I have a few names on the list. You must have the First Aid/CPR class done ahead of time. If you are interested, please let me know. Thank you, Brenda,

Next meeting on the agenda will be:
Radios for rides and workdays, scheduling rides for Slate Creek, Coolwater or any other place someone wants to ride.

Next meeting is September 2 @ 6pm “The Trails Restaurant” in Grangeville. Come and have a great time before the meeting or during. See you there!
