Newsletter for Idaho Pathfinders May 2014

Happy May day everyone. May’s meeting was short and straight forward.

    1. Old Business: Raspberry      Festival in Cottonwood. We have been approached to help out again. But  this time we would do the cooking, bring some covered dishes, and Bob R.  would provide the meat.  All the proceeds would be split. With discussion on everything that is going in  July and August. We voted and passed NOT to. With trail work for Josh and      our own rides on the weekends, we are just spread to thin. Sorry.
    2. Stickers: Thanks to Roger and      Kathy we got the sample of the stickers. We will be ordering Sticker B  with the shading under the wording. The count will be 500 for $481.40.
    3. Trail Ranger program: Thank  you to those that have taken the First Aid class and saw class. Trail work will start soon. At this time there is some snow on the ground and some of the trails are not open to the regulation. Please before going make sure your trail is open in the regulation and that we are following the rules.  We as Idaho Pathfinders cleaning the trails need to follow the regulation  for ATV’s on trails.
    4. Kirkwood trail: cleanup will be May 18th leaving Lucile 9:00am. There will be some Brushing, and water  bars work.
    5. New News BLM ground down Graves Creek/Salmon River: Todd, Dean and a few others around went to a meeting about the Community Corrals. They are wanting to put in a small  OHV park to ride in. But want help with it also.  This has been a corral for loading and  off loading Cattle for years. So semi Trucks are backing in and need a lot    of room to move. You never know when they are coming in. The discussed the  parking for usurers , bathrooms, and dumpsters. It was also mentioned down by Pine Bar for OHV park. So the BLM is looking further into it.
    6. Last but not least was the up and coming rides: Cool water will be September 13 & 14

Work days for Josh will be coming as the Snow leaves! JULY
