2014 July’s Newsletter

We want to start to say Thank you to all of you that come to the meetings and help us plan for rides and take on other Idaho Pathfinders duties. The club can’t run on just the officers. So thank you to those that step up to the plate and help.

The meeting was called to order 9th of July @ Hoot’s café 7:05 pm. There were 14 members attending.

  1. Trail Ranger program: Thank you to those that helped out with this years trails. We believe this was the quickest that we have gotten done. Not as many trees down was a big factor. So with that we get the paper work turned in this week and then start enjoying some of those trails we love to ride.
  2. Letter of Support to the Back Country Horseman will be written. This has to do with Volunteering for working on the trails and all the paper work. We will have Al Bolden write it for us.
  3. Bud’s Saw Shop Grand opening will be July 18th. The club will be cooking Hamburgers and Hot Dogs from 11-7 on the club’s BBQer. If you would like to help out or lend a hand for a leg of the cooking please let us know. The more people that can help will shorten up the cooking span.       If you can help please call 839-2303 THANK YOU!!
  4. Trail Ranger Hat’s and Cards will be given out July 18th at Bud’s Saw Shop open house. (This will be for those that worked in 2013 in the Trail Ranger program. Opening up trails to speck on work days.)
  5. July 19th will be the ride to Lost Lake. This will be a long ride 80-90 miles. Don Eckford will be the leader for the day. We will be leaving 9:00am mountain time. Parking will be along the Highway by Smoky Boulder turn off road. Don Eckford will be camped there. Some of us will be camped at Zim’s.
  6. News on contract work that Josh set up for us. We are still waiting. We have sent emails but haven’t heard anything back. And when called Jeremy is not in the office.       We will keep on it!!
  7. In your news letter you will find a sticker or I handed one to you.       These were bought for the club members. This year each member ship form will get one. (which is in this new letter) You may buy more if you would like, they are $2.00 each.

Next year if your dues are paid by March’s meeting you’ll receive one.

Thank you to Roger and Kathy Brown for doing the leg work on this project.

  1. Next meeting is August 6th 7:00pm @ Hoot’s Café.

We are starting to have ATV, Motorcycle and UTV classes in the area. We Will be giving the classes to kids and Adults.
