Happy October everyone. October’s meeting was brought to order on the first @ 7:00pm @ Hoot’s Café. Eleven members present with a lot of ideas!!!!
Last ride was to Mackey Bar. There was 11 people available on a beautiful fall day. Thanks to Don and Karen for taking great pictures to show.
The ride to Avery has been canceled do to hunting season in the area. But has been rescheduled to Late July or Aug 2015. Can’t wait. Hopefully the huckleberries will be getting ripe by then. Easy picking.
We spent the rest of the meeting scheduling the rides for 2015. Thank you to those had some new ideas and some dates.
Deadhorse Trail ride: We would start at the rock pit that we usually camp at by the Gospel turn off road on the 221 road. We will go from there to Slate Creek, go up the trail that we over worked this year to Nut Basin. Then around to Florence and back for a Hamburger feed when we got back!!
Pittsburg Landing Hamburger ride March 1st (rain or shine for the one. Do to people traveling
Steak Ride to Eagle Creek in May 17th. With RSVP by May 1st. Camping and Staging is still being work on.
Kirkwood work day will by April 19 or 26th. This will be decided the closer is gets because of the snow on top. This has to be done this year. Trees and brush to be trimmed along with trail repair in a few spots.
Long sleeve t-shirts are being ordered with the logo on the back and a saying on the right front pocket. The colors this year will be Brown, gray or Black. There will be a few sweat shirts and zip-up ordered as well.
Speakers for the night was Dave G. with updates for the area. Around the Dworshak a few more areas have been opened up. (Corvallis and Elk Meadows) Lots of loops to ride.
Oct. 18th will be a meeting on the revision plan from 8-2.
Nov. 20th is the Kamiah retirement party for Rick, Kathy, Tamera, Ralph, Craig and Carol.
Nov. 15th is a Recreation Council meeting.
Next meeting will be Nov. 5th @ 7:00pm @ Hoot’s Café.
