April 2015 Newsletter

They say Spring is here. Well the weather sure does act like March weather to me. Just saying.

    1. Thank you to those that took the First aid/CPR class on Saturday April 4th.  Now the head crew people are ready to clean trails for 2015. I have two that will need to take the saw class yet.

Up and coming rides “take note”

    1. Kirkwood ride/work day is April 19th Leaving Lucile @ 9:00
    2. Steak Ride May 17th to Eagle Creek. (members only) Leaving Kruze Meadows parking lot @ 9:00 and back to start the BBQer for the Steaks @ 4:00. We are asking all members to bring a dish.

You will need to RSVP by May 1st to have a steak. Steak will be bought on RSVP count only.   The cost of the Steak is $15.00 per person.  For those with internet you can go to Craig Mountain Wildlife Management area for a map to get to Kruse Meadows http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/ifwis/ibt/site.aspx?id=N43. And those thet get mail see the second paper.

The following people have RSVP already: Del H., Nick C., Cheryl and Al B., Rick L., Don and Yeon D., David and Donna Seyer,  Rosilin J., Dick and Susie B., Bunky & Lois L., Les & Camilla S., Ken L., Marion G., Ed and Donna P., Dean, Brenda and Marie.

    1. June 27th is Deadhorse Trail ride/Hamburger Ride with Don Eckford. (members only)
    2. White Bird Medical relief Group has asked if we would like to cook hamburgers over White Bird Days. (this is over Fathers Day weekend). Voted and passed to Decline. The club is busy with working trails during this time of year. And we do not have enough members to work it for two days. And we would have to have a health inspection and sort. And at this point in time the club doesn’t need a fundraiser.
    3. We are still trying to set up a meeting with the Supervisor of the Forest Service, Cheryl Probert. We have sent e-mails and made phone calls. We have even had Donna Kinzer, the Grants Management Specialist for the Forest Service to help us out. So I know Cheryl has gotten the message. I will be talking to Carol Hennessy this week to see if she could help set us a meeting with us with Cheryl.
    4. Cerry Creek out of Riggins area. Is being looked at for a clean up. But before any of the dirt is moved the Archeologist have to look at for Parks and Recreation.
    5. Reminder to Head Crew member bosses. You need to set up a Schedule date and time for working on trails. That way it can get out to those that want to help out on the trails for the TRAIL RANGER PROGRAM!! Please work on those that you asked for. The Centennial trail will be schedule with the club at the meetings, when we can get in there. If you are having trouble getting to your trail work, when the time comes, please let us know. If it is to wet or snow, Don’t go. We don’t need the trails torn up.
