An update to all our members!!!
The 2026 IPA banquet is scheduled for February 28th at the Elks lodge in Grangeville. We will be having it catered by the same company who has done it the past.
Now for the important part of this message!!
We need your help with the planning and organization of the event. No raffle will be held this year but we hope to have the games and of course give away “smoke sticks”.
The next organizational meeting is October 28th at 6 pm at the Trails meeting room!! Please attend or contact officers with what you can help with.
IPA Banquet/fund raiser. This year we are planning on using the majority of the profit to improve trails. We will first need some of the money for the insurance for the IPA sponsored rides. Some of the projects for additional profit would include but not all inclusive:
- repair some bridges (one on upper end of Centennial below Florence is a priority)
- Perhaps repair some culverts
- Place some needed gravel in a few areas
- Improve creek crossings
- Help support the “Trail Cat” that will be owned and shared by Idaho County and Clearwater County, working with the Idaho County Commissioner’s and Idaho Dept. of Parks and Recreation. on this project.
- Work on grants, and perhaps some rental this year for a mini excavator mounted masticator shrub shredder (this is badly needed on several trails in Idaho County Centennial and McComas Meadows)
This is just some ideas, we encourage members to help with other ideas and of course work days and equipment on projects and trails.
