Happy Holidays everyone. November’s 4, meeting was called to order @ the White Bird Area Recreation District Building. Thank you to the seven of us that came out. Thank you to Todd and RaWanda for their call in and input for the up and coming meetings and ideas for next year.
We would like to say Thank you to the following business and family for their support in 2020:
Silver Sponsor: Swiftwater RV in White Bird
P.J. & Mary Lynn Walker of Lewiston
Gold Sponsor: Wild Web West
Platinum Sponsor: Central Idaho Properties in Grangeville
Bills to be paid is the Print Shop for copies and needing stamps. . We will be ordering the gas cards and Hats for the trail crews. Thank you again to those that helped.
This year has been a challenging one for the club. Our first ride out for 2020 to Pittsburg landing for the BBQ, was cancelled due to the Virus and state regulations. We had a great turn out for the BBQ meeting in White Bird. There was a lot of good ideas passed around for rides and fundraisers. But with everything happening, the club was not able to do any.
We did put a few work days together on the trails. But even then small crews or no crews at all showed up. The Fish creek crew was a good size for that trail, and the Bullion Mine and Scott trail was a small crew. But the rest of the trails were one or two people for the work days. All the trails were rode and opened up. But a few of the trails we had members go back and work on them. Two of the trails we turned into the Forest Service for help. It was more than we could ever get around to. Or better words for it. More than what we are contracted for.
At the last few meetings there has been just a small handful of us. So in September’s newsletter we asked for input on meetings. Todd, RaWanda, Virginia, Nancy, Gordon, Dean, Brenda and a Guest are the ones that put input. Thank you.
So with that We will be skipping December and January’s meeting. Coming Back in February to take a look at for 2021. The meeting will be at the White Bird Area Recreation District building @ 6:00pm. We will be looking at what the State will allow us to do at that time (virus and such), BBQ ride for Pittsburg landing in March (if we can), meeting dates or ideas, working on trails, insurance and Officer election.
A Lot of what is going to be decided will depend on the COVID and State Rules. We need to keep in mind that the decisions made affect members, other riders and officers. Please if you have any ideas or suggestions email them in. [email protected]. We will be keeping everyone informed on the Web page and Facebook page of the area trails and Forest Service news.
The Idaho Pathfinders Association started back “99” fighting to keep trails open for the public. Now in 2020 we are still fighting to keep trails open and working on the trails to improve them. We have over a hundred miles of trails that we work on, not to mention the ones out of our area that we help write in with others to keep trails open. Clubs like ours, the motorcycle clubs and snowcat clubs are needed in areas to keep the public aware of what is going on and to have a communication line with the Forest Service.
So please if you have ideas or suggestions for 2021 for the club. Please email us. Thank you
Next meeting is February 3,2021 @ White Bird Area Recreation District @ 6:00pm
