Idaho Pathfinders September 2nd Meeting

Welcome the Crazy September 2nd meeting @  the Lions Park. Thank you to those that could make it. The mins from Aug. meeting were read Virginia made the motion to accept the min. And Nick second it.

We would like to say Thank you to the following business:

Silver Sponsor: Swiftwater RV in White Bird

P.J.  & Mary Lynn Walker of Lewiston

Gold Sponsor: Wild Web West

Platinum Sponsor: Central Idaho Properties in Grangeville

Due to the COVID crap the meetings have been short and to the point. The correspondence was copies of the Insurance papers for the files, and a copy of the sign Forest Service and Idaho Parks and Rec. papers coming in. The correspondence was a Notarized signed paper for the SAM account to keep it going, going out.

As for the Rides, everything has been tabled due to not enough people at the meetings to set one up. We can have club rides, we just have to follow the rules for COVID. Which is easy to do, stay a safe distance apart, Wear masks if you want, and use hand sanitizer.

The last thing to talk about was the Trail Ranger Program. With small crews this year we were able to at least get the trails opened up. There are two trails that need some more work, a few trees cut out wider and brushing. The trails have been turned into the Forest Service for help. But just like every year maybe they will and maybe they won’t. Any bets (Gary Dale Trail (Cougar trail) and Parts of the Centennial Trail. We noticed that the bigger machines (over 50”) are going through the creek, instead of going over the bridge, and cutting down the outer side of the trail. Especially along the creek. The contract for the Trail Ranger Program was up at the end of Aug. 2o2o. We turned it but said we would keep working on those two trails. Nick and Matt said they would go up and work a little bit on the Cougar Mountain trail.

A few suggestions were brought up to add to the Fundraiser ideas: Yard Sale, and a Ride with a dinner and music. Thank you Nick and Matt.

The meeting was adjourned @ 7:15. The next meeting will be October 7th, 7:00pm @ White Bird Area Recreation District in White Bird. GREAT Social time afterwards, The weather couldn’t have been any better.
